You could call this a bucket list, I wouldn’t mind. I feel like I need to de-stress and have some happy time for me. I’ve struggled so much for a while, I just feel like I need to go somewhere (though a passport and a travel partner would be helpful. Though I wouldn’t not consider it just me and bear). I do love a staycation, I think there are many areas in Britain which are wonderful and beautiful and have lots to offer, but I would definitely love to travel abroad. Especially considering I haven’t since I was around 10/11. I’ve found some amazing little spots I’d love to see and visit and I’d love to share them with you!
Not a place I had even known about previously if I’m honest. But I’ve been looking it up a bit recently and it looks so lovely! I’d love to stay in one of the Breckenridge Villas and I’d have such a good explore of the area. There seems to be tons to do such as spas and nice dining experiences. It’s quite a mountainous area with tons to explore and see, whether it would just be me and bear or me and a friend. I know we would spend a ton of time in the spas (goodness knows I need this haha!) It looks like it’s quite snowy and cold a lot so would definitely have to wrap up but the area is so lovely, I don’t think I’d mind at all. If I was taking bear, I’d love to visit the Mountain Top Children’s museum. I think he would definitely really enjoy it and it’s right in the centre of the town so plenty for us to do afterwards.
I know of a few people who have visited Thailand and they’ve always said how amazing it is. Looking at their pictures of the place and what they’ve been upto gives me all the wanderlust feels! The food is a must to try and I’d really love to get to know their culture and ways of living. I reckon it’ll be interesting as much as it is beautiful. I really want to go and see all of the animals too! People have interacted with animals, usually tigers etc and I just think that’s amazing and such a brave thing to do. I’d love to do it!
Now I know Japan is a really large area. The main place on my list of places to see and visit is Mitaka. This is mostly because I want to see the Studio Ghibli Museum. As of the past few years, I’ve come to know and adore some of the many amazing works of Studio Ghibli and I still have many more to see! It’s a place I really want to see and spend a lot of time exploring and finding out so much information and open my eyes to more of Ghibli’s work. I also believe they’re building a Ghibli theme park in Japan, I would LOVE to try that out!
A few different people I know of have been here recently and again, their pictures and stories of their experiences have made me super jealous and heart eyes all the time haha! This is definitely a good break for mummy (though I don’t know what they have for toddlers as I haven’t looked at that bit haha!) Even though I’m not a massive fan of the cold, I don’t think I’d mind if I was here. I’d love to explore Iceland, apparently there are a lot of geysers and a lot of it is on volcanoes so very hot ground. I’d definitely have to visit one of the wonders of the world: the Geothermal Blue Lagoon Spa. I’d have to have some luxury beauty treatments, in-water massages in the Lagoon followed by dinner and a glass of wine in the relaxing suites by the open fire. Perfect.
Fiji is somewhere I’ve wanted to go since I was a little younger. It always seems to be on Television, or at least is a feature of holiday related programmes. I just love the idea of being on a slightly secluded island so lush and beautiful and hot. It is definitely a place that would give you time to relax and a place to clear your mind of any stresses etc. There also seems to be quite a bit to visit and see there if you wanted to. Though I’d mostly love to go for some relaxing and cocktails and maybe get a few massages. And most probably read a lot haha! It is such a seriously beautiful looking place.
I understand that not many of these are very family friendly ha! If I’m honest though, I could really do with a break and this is just a snippet of my bucket list of places to go and visit. I do hope that one day I can visit at least one of these places and have a wonderful time whether with or without child. It could be fab whether it’s just a break with the girls or on my own (definitely need some courage for that one though haha!)
Where would you like to visit in the world if you could? And what do you like most about the places you’ve chosen?
