Each month, I’m joining in with the 5 things I’ve loved linky, created by the wonderful Rachael & Georgia. As I explained in May’s Linky Post, the aim of the post is to think and write about 5 things I’ve loved this month that are NOT parenting related. We all know a lot of our time is consumed by our sweet, needy, adorable little humans, but what makes us tick? What’s been floating our boat? I have to say I’m loving reading what others have been enjoying and it’s so wonderful to see that everyone is taking time for themselves and doing nice things they love other than being a parent.
As a mother and a homemaker, I am always looking at ways to keep our costs low. Looking for where to shop cheap for food, for clothes and for other essentials needed, as god knows those bills just eat all the money up just after payday. I’ve been sent across this article which has given me some wonderful tips on how to keep costs low whilst also getting your hands on freebies, which I know everyone loves a good freebie and wants to keep their household costs low. Lately, little bear has been paying a lot of attention to the modes of transport around him. His speech isn’t too great but he definitely points out ‘cars’, ‘plane’, ‘choo choo’ and ‘toot toot (boat)’. I’ve been loving seeing him explore the world around him in this way and explaining to him where they’re going/what they’re doing. So obviously, it has made me think about taking him on a train again (we went once on the train to Southport with our friends Lisa & her little lady and once to Manchester which he loved both times). I’ve decided we should go on a train somewhere else, I think he would absolutely love it.
This month, my lovely friend Rachael over at From Rachael Claire and her friend Georgia at Georgia and Stan have together created this lovely linky for bloggers everywhere to take part in. I’ve never taken part in a linky before, but I’m already loving how this is going and I can’t wait to see everyone elses!
If you didn’t know (which I’m sure the majority of people reading this won’t) I’ve had a pretty stressful time lately, it’s been emotional and all sorts of stressful and tough so I’ve been trying to spend each evening doing something that helps me relieve some of that stress. It’s also very quickly become a regular evening thing for me to take some time for myself.
