Lately, little bear has been paying a lot of attention to the modes of transport around him. His speech isn’t too great but he definitely points out ‘cars’, ‘plane’, ‘choo choo’ and ‘toot toot (boat)’. I’ve been loving seeing him explore the world around him in this way and explaining to him where they’re going/what they’re doing. So obviously, it has made me think about taking him on a train again (we went once on the train to Southport with our friends Lisa & her little lady and once to Manchester which he loved both times). I’ve decided we should go on a train somewhere else, I think he would absolutely love it.
You could call this a bucket list, I wouldn’t mind. I feel like I need to de-stress and have some happy time for me. I’ve struggled so much for a while, I just feel like I need to go somewhere (though a passport and a travel partner would be helpful. Though I wouldn’t not consider it just me and bear). I do love a staycation, I think there are many areas in Britain which are wonderful and beautiful and have lots to offer, but I would definitely love to travel abroad. Especially considering I haven’t since I was around 10/11. I’ve found some amazing little spots I’d love to see and visit and I’d love to share them with you!
I was probably enjoying the holiday more by this time but bear seemed to be having so much fun!
Back in September, Bear, his daddy and I had our first holiday, just the 3 of us, taking a trip down to Cornwall. As well as wanting a holiday for us so much, I was also dying to meet Amy and her little one. I asked Amy for recommendations of areas where we could easily get to her but also were near other sights and activities. We finally decided on a caravan resort on the outside of Mullion. The holiday itself was an absolute bargain as I had booked it through the Sun holidays (the £9.50 ones) and after requesting to extend the holiday from 3 nights to 7, with the caravan, passes for entertainment, use of facilities and a highchair and cot for little bear, it cost £200 in total. The biggest challenge for us, was the travelling…
Most people I know have a travel bucket list. It’s essentially a list of places you would love to travel to and for all different reasons of course! No 2 bucket lists will be the same and I’ve seen some pretty damn long ones and some pretty short ones. Of course I also have one (which I will talk about at some point, promise) but one thing I’ve added to my list recently (or a few things) are more road trips rather than just places I’d like to travel.
